Woburn Street paving scheduled to begin Thursday, June 5
Beginning Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 7:00 am, weather permitting, Lazaro Paving Company will begin paving work on Woburn Street from Lowell Street to West Street. The project is expected to take approximately three workdays to complete.
Paving Schedule
Work Day 1: Woburn Street (Lowell to High Street)
Work Day 2: Woburn Street (Arlington Street to Summer Avenue)
Work Day 3: Woburn Street (Summer Avenue to West Street)
What residents should expect
Delays, detours, and road closures are likely during active paving hours.
If you need access to your vehicle, please move it outside the work zone ahead of time.
On-street parking is prohibited and will be strictly enforced by the Reading Police Department during construction.
If your trash or recycling day falls on one of the paving days, be sure to place bins at the curb by 6:30 am to ensure collection.
