Borrow the unexpected: gardening tools at the Reading Public Library

Spring is here, and it’s time to get your garden ready - with a little help from the Reading Public Library!

As part of the Library of Things collection, the library now offers a selection of gardening tools available for borrowing. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, these tools can make your spring planting easier and more efficient.

What’s available?

  • Seeding square - helps you determine where and how many seeds to plant.

  • Weasel bulb planter - perfect for planting blubs with precision.

  • Stand-up weed puller - remove weeds easily without the back pain!

These tools were purchased through Rooted in Reading grant, made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. Additional support is provided by the Friends of Reading Public Library and the Reading Public Library Foundation.
