Annual Bike Recycling and Give-Away returns to Reading
ReadingCares and the Reading Climate Advisory Committee are once again proud to host the annual Bike Recycling and Give-Away event! This wonderful community initiative provides an opportunity to donate bikes you no longer need - and to find a new one, for free.
Bike donations
You’re invited to drop off gently used bikes at the RMLD building, 230 Ash Street in Reading:
Friday, May 9 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm
Saturday, May 10 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am
Donors of bikes in good, working condition will receive a voucher for early admission to the Give-Away, allowing them to choose a free bike starting at 12:00 noon on Saturday.
Bike Give-Away
Saturday, May 10:
12:00 pm - voucher holders only
12:30 pm - open to everyone!
Come check it out and see what it’s all about! This event helps local families and individuals by redistributing safe, usable bikes - and keeps old bikes out of landfills through responsible recycling.
Important parking note: Limited parking is available for bike drop-off only. There is no parking at or behind RMLD during the Give-Away.
