Arbor Day tree planting at the Reading Town Forest

Celebrate Arbor Day with the Town of Reading by giving back to nature - one tree at a time. Join fellow residents, community groups, and volunteers in planting trees throughout the Reading Town Forest.

This year’s goal? 500 trees planted with the help of volunteers like you!

Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025

Time: Choose your shift - register through the library calendar by clicking one of the links below

9:00 am - 11:00 am

11:00 am - 1:00 pm

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Location: Town Forest, Reading, MA

Parking: Compost Center, Strout Ave

Access: Participants will walk from the Compost Center to the planting site via the Town Forest trail system. Volunteers will be provided with tools, instructions, and tree-planting support.

Reading Public Library, Town Forest Committee, Department of Public Works, and Scout Troop 702.
