Share your vision for Reading’s Eastern Gateway
The Town of Reading is shaping the future of one of its important areas - and your voice is key. The Eastern Gateway Priority Planning initiative is underway, and the town wants your feedback to help guide the next phase of development.

The survey focused on four key themes:
Mixed-uses and density: How can we balance residential, commercial, and community space?
Buildings & site design: What should new development look and feel like?
Connections and access: How do we improve mobility, safety, and access for all?
Open space & placemaking: Where can we add parks, gathering spaces, and greenery?
The Eastern Gateway includes more than 56 acres of land surrounding Market Basket, the Reading DPW, the RMLD site, and commuter rail access. With your help, this area can become a vibrant, inclusive, and well-connected neighborhood that meets Reading’s growing needs.
