Public hearing on Town Manager’s recommended FY26 budget scheduled for March 12

The Town of Reading’s Finance Committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 7:00 pm to gather community input on the Town Manager’s recommended budget for fiscal year 2026 (FY26). The hearing will take place in the Select Board Meeting Room at Town Hall (16 Lowell Street), with remote participation available via Zoom.

The hearing provides an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts and priorities regarding the budget before the Finance Committee’s scheduled vote on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The budget outlines key funding allocations for municipal services, schools, infrastructure, and other town operations for the upcoming fiscal year.

Residents are encouraged to review discussion materials, which will be included in the Finance Committee packet on the town’s website prior to the meeting. Those unable to attend may submit their comments in writing or by email to TownManager@ReadingMA.gov before 6:00 pm on March 12.

Community participation is crucial in shaping the town’s financial decisions. All interested residents are invited to attend in person or remotely to ensure their voices are heard.
