Free screening of “Plastic People” at Reading Public Library on April 22
In recognition of Earth Day, the Reading Public Library will host a free community screening of the documentary Plastic People: The Hidden Crisis of Microplastics on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 7:00 pm in the library’s Community Room (64 Middlesex Ave). Doors open at 6:30 pm, and seating is limited.
This compelling documentary dives deep into the global addiction to plastic and the unseen impact of microplastics on human health. From personal care prdocuts to our food supply, Plastic People investigates how tiny plastic particles have infiltrated nearly every aspect of our daily lives - and raises critical questions about what that means for our future.
The screening is free to attend, but due to limited seating, attendees are encouraged to reserve their spot in advance. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
The event is sponsored by the Climate Advisory Committee and Beyond Plastics Greater Boston, two organizations committed to environmental awareness and action.
