CATO: The Coalition of Us Black History Month Bingo Card

Happy Black History Month! As the month comes to a close, CATO – The Coalition of Us – is proud to share its 5th Annual Black History Month Takeover Event, an interactive and engaging way to celebrate, reflect, and learn throughout February and beyond.

This year, CATO is challenging the community to rethink how Black history is recognized. “Too often, the narratives we hear during Black History Month are oversimplified, repetitive, and whitewashed,” CATO organizers say. “We want to push beyond that and encourage deeper engagement with Black history and culture.”

To support this effort, CATO has created an interactive Bingo card featuring 28 ways to explore and honor Black history. Each square offers a new way to learn—whether it’s through reading, listening, supporting Black-owned businesses, or engaging in meaningful conversations. Participants can access the virtual Bingo board here.

How to Get Involved:

  • Click the Bingo squares for resources and activities.

  • Follow, Like & Share CATO on Facebook (@CATO - The Coalition of Us) and Instagram (@WhoIsCATO) to stay updated.

  • Tag your activities on social media using the hashtags #cato28daychallenge, #cato, #thecoalitionofus, #blackhistorymonth to join the community-wide movement.

CATO invites everyone to step beyond the traditional narratives and take part in celebrating Black history in a way that is thoughtful, engaging, and inspiring.
